REplay Forest is guarded by Shadow, a dark elusive creature that keeps the forest in darkness and wilderness, Shadow is a metaphor for the adult users repressed weaknesses, fears and insecurities.
Anima is an adult, who has stumbled into this forest of darkness and is expected to ignite the forest and bring it to life, as Anima enters the forest she realises she has forgotten how to use her imagination, she envisages how this world may look so she can bring it back to life. Anima encounters objects in the forest that may help her on her journey, yet she needs help to strengthen her imagination and therefore strengthen creativity.
Outside the forest Anima encounters a wise old guru named Faylinn. He is there to guide Anima and show her how to play and delve into the world of REplay Forest, using the tools at her disposal.
